Razor Cuts

The cut foundation class by Bumble and bumble taught me how to be more confident and comfortable with a razor. In general, when the hair has been cut by a razor you will see that the ends of the hair taper off to a thinner peak, leaving more texture. Whereas with scissors, they produce a blunt look on the ends.

Although the best type of hair for razor use is medium to thick, coarse non-frizzy hair, it’s okay to use them on finer hair, as long as, the hair is not frizzy. Most clients will try the razor at least once and depending on whether their experience was a good one, it can affect how the client feels about it for the rest of their haircuts. I used the razor on 4 different models and hair textures, fine, medium, and coarse. The hair was left with lots of texture and volume!
